Bio
Sara DuMond, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician and author. She is a 2000 Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C., in 2003 and practiced general pediatrics with a private group practice in the Charlotte area for seven years. In 2010, she founded Pediatric Housecalls, Charlotte's first mobile urgent care for children. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Home Care Physicians. As an author, she has contributed numerous child health articles to local and national parenting and health publications, including Little Ones Magazine, Parents Magazine, and American Baby Magazine. She serves on the medical advisory board for American Baby Magazine. She has also written consumer health information for KidsHealth.org and Livestrong.com.
