Bio

Dan Brennan, MD, CLC, FAAP, is an award-winning, board-certified pediatrician, lactation counselor, husband, and proud father of three boys in Santa Barbara, CA. Brennan is an accomplished health care columnist, a public speaker, and a contributing writer for the American Academy of Pediatrics' web site, HealthyChildren.org. He has been featured in medical publications, newspapers, Internet parenting sites, local television, and national parenting magazines including Parenting, Baby Talk, American Baby and Pregnancy. Brennan has also served as a medical consultant for the hit USA television show Burn Notice.

Brennan has special interests in the areas of newborn care, breastfeeding, health education, and childhood nutrition. In 2002, he co-created CHAMP, a childhood nutrition, exercise, and education program. Brennan earned his Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA and his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He practices general pediatrics in Santa Barbara. In his spare time, Brennan is an avid distance runner, community volunteer, and coach of his sons' soccer, basketball, and Little League teams.
