Aatif Husain is a neurologist who focuses on the science of sleep and what happens when people don't get enough of it. Specifically, Husain provides clinical care for and conducts research on sleep disorders, such as narcolepsy and REM-behavior disorders, epilepsy, and neuromuscular disorders. He is a clinician member of the Duke Sleep Disorders Center -- one of the country’s oldest such centers and one of the few in the nation that offer interdisciplinary faculty expertise in neurology, pulmonology, psychology, and psychiatry.
Husain is board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He also holds certification from the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, the American Board of Sleep Medicine, and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
