Bio

Elaine Magee, MPH, RD, is the author of 25 books including the best selling, Tell Me What To Eat If I Have Diabetes, Tell Me What To Eat If I Have Acid Reflux, and Tell Me What To Eat If I Have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Her recent book, Food Synergy, is the first book written for the public on this revolutionary way of looking at nutrition and health and her book, The Flax Cookbook, was the first book published on the health benefits of ground flaxseed, which Elaine describes as one of the most powerful plant foods on the planet.

She is an anti-dieting dietitian who believes that we should look at health in the total sense—in mind, body, and spirit. Magee describes herself as "fit, fabulous, and fourteen" (size 14, that is). Elaine Magee is known nationally as  The Recipe Doctor, from her syndicated newspaper column that she wrote for 10 years (www.recipedoctor.com). Her style is practical and "reader-friendly," and what readers like about her recipes is that they are quick and easy and they don’t taste like they’re good for you.

Currently Elaine is the Wellness & Performance Nutritionist for Stanford University and consults to assorted companies and websites.
