is it proper to alternate tylenol and motrin every three hours in a two year old?

It is ok to alternate the medicines stated above as long as you use the correct dosages but you don't want to use this method for giving the child medicine beyond 36 to 48 hours due to its strain on the childs kidneys and liver.
