Q.

Is constipation a symptom of perimenapause and lower back pain? Is perimenapause a cause for the constipation?

My main symptom is lower back pain, which came on fairly suddenly, and I've endured it for several months now.

However my bowel movements have changed, and are less frequent, and often very hard at the tip.  Only every 2nd or 3rd day do I have a comfortable bowel movement.    I seem to feel the pressure "to go" but don 't want to force, so the back pain continues.   Icing does seem to help some.
