Q.

how long for bruised ribs to heal?

I took a fall 6 days ago by tripping on a curb and my whole body flew forward and I landed mostly on my rib cage.  I didn't hit my head.  I didn't go to a doctor and am breathing okay and it's healing slowly.  I'm not having issues breathing.  It seems the ribs on either side right below my breasts are the sorest.  Should I see a doctor for an x-ray or does it seem like just bruising if I'm able to breath?  It gets worse when I lay down for long periods of time.
