Not really. Xanax is an anti-anxiety agent.

With that said, if part of the reason your blood pressure is elevated is because of anxiety, then it could help (a bit), but the reasons for elevated blood pressure are much more complex than just emotions. Xanax can be use as part of the treatment, but not as a sole treatment.
