Q.

Is walking good for a herniated disk? I find I have more pain in walking.

I have tried different shoes, walking times and also different terrain (such as cement, blacktop, grass, etc).

The best for me is a electric blanket wrapped around my legs.  Getting up often and taking "short" walks is ok.

I sit on a hard chair at work.  Is that better or worse than a soft chair?

Thank you
Jan Grunke
