You may have sustained a soft tissue or ligament injury. This would not likely show up on an x-ray, assuming you had one after the original injury.  If you are still having finger pain two months after an injury, this is not considered to be normal. It would be in your best interest to see a medical provider, orthopedist, or hand specialist so you can be properly examined.
