Yes, you can get sexually transmitted diseases from oral sex.  There is a common misperception that oral sex is safe.  The risk is the same as having genital to genital intercourse.  Infections such as herpes, human papilloma virus, HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia can be transmitted from genitalia to the tissues of the mouth and visa versa.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
