A.

Wheat bran appears safe for pregnancy as long as it used wisely.  See this WebMD article for more info on taking wheat bran.  Various factors in the diet can decrease calcium absorption including high sodium diets, high oxalate foods (leafy greens), high caffeine intake and insoluble fiber such as wheat bran.  The key is to make sure calcium intake is spread over the day and get enough vitamin D, which increases calcium absorption.  If possible, take wheat bran separate from calcium and limit sodium and caffeine.  That being said, focus your energy on eating healthfully and not stressing.

Congrats on your pregnancy!.
