A.

Treatment of pancreatic cancer depends on the type of pancreatic cancer, the stage of the disease and the patient’s general health.  Patients may be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and/or palliative therapies.  Some patients may receive a combination of these treatments.

Receiving treatment through a clinical trial is an option at any stage of the disease.  Clinical trials may be the best choice for the patient and are critical for the development of new treatment options.  For more information about treatment options, including clinical trials, contact the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at 877.272.6226.
