Can continually coloring my hair damage my hair and/or scalp after years of repetition?

Yes, if the coloring is done in combination with the application of high heat or relaxers. Color alone does not cause nearly as much damage to the hair or scalp by itself, especially when the processes of coloring and relaxing, or coloring and adding heat are spaced conservatively apart.
