My baby is 9 days old. When he sleeps his arms and legs twitch in even timing, from 5 to 20 minutes. Is this normal?

It can be so hard to interpret all of the little movementsthat babies make. In this instance, since the twitching seems to be somewhatrhythmic and lasts as long as 20 minutes sometimes, it is a good idea to schedulean appointment for him to be seen by his pediatrician. He or she will be ableto evaluate and examine him, and determine if these twitches need to beevaluated further.
