Skinny jeans workouts focus on lower body exercises -- squats and lunges -- along with core strength and weight training, and yoga and Pilates moves.
Fabio Comana, an exercise physiologist with the American Council on Exercise in San Diego, likes the concept, but cautions that it’s impossible to spot-reduce fat. He says that any "skinny jeans" program needs to include cardio to promote weight loss and general conditioning, plus resistance training to tone and build muscle.
To do a skinny jeans workout, he suggest lunges and squats (with or without weights) for toning the lower body. He says to include cardio exercises that work your lower extremities, such as running or cycling, to burn calories and tone muscles overall and to try for 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise three to five times a week.
